Daniel Adelakun

Daniel Olusegun Adelakun is a young and enterprising individual. He obtained his bachelor's degree in chemical engineering from Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria which is the largest university in sub-Saharan Africa. He is a business systems strategy consultant to several start-ups in Nigeria. He aspires to earn a doctorate degree in Leadership and Management. Daniel joined IMLAG in 2019 as an Associate Consultant and IMLAG is thrilled to have him as part of the team.

Daniel was born in Lagos, Nigeria to a devoted Christian family and he is the last of 5 siblings. At an early age, Daniel always displayed good leadership, a natural gift he consciously developed and nurtured in his formative years through training and mentorship. As an undergraduate, Daniel served as a logistics coordinator at Eternity Network International (ENI) School of Ministry, a school that hosts a weekly gathering of about 3,000 people. He was responsible for planning, facilitating, optimizing, coordinating and supervising the event.

In 2018, Daniel became the inaugural president of the Educational Development Community Development Service in Isoko North, Delta State where he displayed exemplary leadership and human resource capability. This earned him an award of recognition by the state government. He also served as a senior sales executive at Meshince NG, a management consulting firm in Lagos Nigeria. In this position, he was responsible for business the development of sales strategies to acquire new clients, generate new lead sources to expand the target customer base and meet the company’s revenue target. He was responsible for sales and management training for other associates and providing day to day leadership of the sales department.

In 2010, he founded a non-profit foundation - Doja Foundation, an organization with the vision of making an impact and positively influencing the lives of people within its reach and beyond. The foundation has over the last 10 years engaged in several philanthropy and charity events for the less privileged and engages in various sustainable initiatives for a clean and healthy environment. He’s also the convener of the Maximize Your Potential (MYP) initiative. His natural gift of teaching and desire to help young-disadvantaged individuals discover and maximize their potential is the focus of this initiative. The MYP initiative provides educational and career advising, training on personal development, leadership and management, and business consulting for aspiring entrepreneurs, and young professionals.

Daniel Olusegun Adelakun currently serves as the Operations Manager at MediHerbs Ltd, a fast-rising drug manufacturing company in Lagos, Nigeria. He organizes and manages all production activities and affairs of the organization. He is responsible for designing, developing, and implementing new and improved operational processes and task with making important policy, planning, and strategy decisions. Daniel is an associate member of the British Project Management Academy, where he obtained a graduate certificate in Project and Quality Management.
