Our objective for the 40under40 leadership development training program is not simply to train young and emerging leaders, but to give them the tools to become a better leader. Looking at the current situation in the world, the church has a major role to play in cultivating an atmosphere of serenity, morality, and righteous living.

We do not merely casually read the Word of God. We study it. We delve into it. We search for its truths. Knowledge is not the end of our study of the scriptures and leadership. We do not study so that we might know; we study so that we might also LIVE differently.

A servant leader possesses the ability to recognize and understand emotions that are experienced by the people they serve. A servant leader always looks for ways to meet the needs of their team and people while actively seeking to contribute to the personal development of them. The Bible’s teaching on servant leadership can be found in this extract of the letter from Apostle Paul to the Philippians….” Do nothing from rivalry or conceit, but in humility count others more significant than yourselves. Let each of you look not only to his own interests, but also to the interests of others. Have this mind among yourselves, which is yours in Christ Jesus, who, though he was in the form of God, did not count equality with God a thing to be grasped, but made himself nothing, taking the form of a servant, being born in the likeness of men”… – Philippians 2:3-8. This training will explore characteristics of servant leadership and how to apply them in our daily lives.
